Classic layered Italian pasta dish with rich tomato sauce, creamy cheese, and savory meat.

Ingredients:

Lasagna noodles

Ground beef

Tomato sauce

Ricotta cheese

Italian seasoning

Steps:

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
3. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, sugar, salt, and Italian seasoning. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
4. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer a third of the meat sauce, half of the noodles, half of the ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
5. Cover and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 25 minutes or until heated through. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
