Baklava is a delicious sweet pastry made of layers of filo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey or syrup.

Ingredients:

1 cup
Butter
1 cups
Sugar
1 tsp
Cinnamon
1 sheets
Filo dough
2 cups
Nuts (walnuts, pistachios, or almonds)

Steps:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. In a bowl, mix together chopped nuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
3. Layer filo sheets in a baking dish, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
4. Spread a layer of the nut mixture over the filo sheets.
5. Continue layering filo and nut mixture, finishing with a top layer of filo.
6. Cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes before baking.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown.
8. Pour the honey or syrup over the hot baklava and allow it to cool before serving.
